The Mountain and Winter Combat School (Geb/WiKpfS) is the German Armed Forces' training facility for the mountain troops in Mittenwald (Upper Bavaria). It trains soldiers from the entire Bundeswehr as well as international partners for combat in the mountains, in difficult terrain and under special environmental conditions.
HTM supports the training courses with an EC135 from the manufacturer Airbus Helicopters, which is equipped with a Goodrich rescue winch. In addition, an experienced HTM crew consisting of pilots, winch operators and flight assistants ensures a safe and efficient flight performance in order to successfully conduct the training courses "Mountain Rescue Summer/Winter", as well as the training of Army Mountain Guides within the framework of the binational training program with Austria.
HTM was already privileged to support the training courses in the years prior to 2021. All the greater is the pleasure to now again successfully cooperate with the comrades of the Mountain and Winter Combat School. As a leading helicopter operator in the field of rescue winch use - especially in offshore flight operations - as well as the extensive experience in high mountain operations, HTM considers itself well prepared for the upcoming training support.
With the contract won, HTM once again presents itself as a reliable partner of the German Armed Forces and is looking forward to a continued trustful cooperation.
